Stage 4:  Discovering ecologic farming

After the refreshing and relaxing stop at the lookout, we descend again into the woods and follow the path to get into the fields of carob, almond, fig and forage. In this area we will see lots of sheep as they prefer such pastures. The guide will explain how is the sheep farming held in Can Regalat, which in this case does not include the production of milk.

The beautiful trail descends gently down to the wet area where a small creek and a small water reservoir lie. In this particular spot it is easy to see different bird species that come to feed on insects.

Beside the tank there is an area of newly planted fruit trees, where you can learn about the morphology of many types of trees and their variants: orange, lemon, apple, pear, plum, cherry, peach and apricot. Depending on the season, you can pick and taste some fruit. Next to the orchard there are also several summer garden terraces with typical plants like tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, peppers pattern, etc.. which can be collected and tasted if advised by the guide. The tank at the end of this field is an example of the amount of water that flows at this point, and has a primarily agricultural function, although occasionally it becomes a suitable place for bathing.

Following the path along the stream, escorted by large and tall plane trees, we enter another forest area and cross another torrent. Finally, we reach the starting point of the tour (parking area), thus closing the circle around the estate of Can Regalat.
